Description of Program

Research shows that only 300 words are needed to speak any language at survival level. This program focuses specifically on the survival language skills that an expatriate will need in the new environment for day-to-day living, from social greetings and ordering food in a restaurant to giving directions to taxi drivers.

These survival words are not chosen at random; they are compiled from research done and continuously updated on commonly-used words among expatriates in various locations in Asia.

Aim of Program

Our aim is to get the participant to reach a comfort level communicating in the local language with minimum effort and in the shortest time possible.

An Approach Consistent with the Expatriate Reality

Under pressure to perform as soon as they land in the new location, expatriate executives often find it very hard to make time to learn the local language.

The accompanying spouse faces a bigger challenge. Often prohibited by host country laws from obtaining employment, most find themselves supporting the working partner and helping the children adapt. They are typically responsible for most domestic and social matters – and that often involve communicating in the local language.

“Study Smart, not Hard” Approach

The “Study Smart, not Hard” method adopted by Globalizasian Pro is ideal for expatriate families, especially those in hardship destinations.

We apply the latest findings in foreign language learning, adult education and memorization techniques in our teaching approach.

Not only are the participant’s existing language abilities regarded, they are utilized as an active advantage when the learner encounters the new language situation.

Our team of professional language teachers use a thorough needs analysis to determine the participant’s learning preferences and design a realistic program that takes into consideration their learning pace, work schedule and retention ability – all in the attempt to provide them with the desired proficiency using proven modern learning methods that yield maximum results.
